Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CodeMine website and services (the "Service"), operated by CodeMine Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a company registered in India with its registered office at IT Park, Sector 82, Mohali, Punjab 160055, India ("CodeMine", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian consents to your use. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure.

2. The Service

CodeMine provides an interactive, AI-assisted environment for learning to program, including guided courses, an in-browser code playground, automated code review, and progress tracking. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service to break any law, infringe intellectual property, or harm others.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
  • Do not use the Service to generate or distribute malware, spam, or abusive content.
  • Do not resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the code and other content you submit. You grant CodeMine a limited licence to process your content solely to operate and improve the Service. We do not use your private code to train our models. See our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Some features require a paid subscription. Prices are shown in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.

5. Free and trial plans

Free plans and trials are offered at our discretion and may be changed or withdrawn. A free trial does not automatically convert to a paid plan without your confirmation.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, curriculum, and trademarks, is owned by CodeMine and its licensors and is protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding.

7. Security and availability

We work hard to keep the Service secure and available, but we provide it "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that AI-generated feedback will always be accurate. You should not rely on the Service for decisions with legal, financial, or safety consequences.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeMine will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or INR 5,000.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Chandigarh, India, will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to applicable law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
