This Privacy Policy explains how CodeMine Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("CodeMine", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the CodeMine website and services. Our registered office is at IT Park, Sector 82, Mohali, Punjab 160055, India.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: your name, email address, and password hash when you create an account.
- Learning data: the courses you take, exercises you attempt, code you submit, and your progress.
- Usage data: device, browser, IP address, and how you interact with the Service.
- Payment data: handled by our payment processors. We do not store full card numbers.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- To generate the AI mentor's feedback and personalised exercises.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
- To keep the Service safe, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not train models on your private code
Your submitted code is processed to give you feedback. We do not use your private code to train our underlying AI models.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences, and analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect your ability to use the Service.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the Service (for example, cloud hosting and payment processing), and only as needed to provide their services. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information where required by law.
5. Data storage and location
We store your data on infrastructure located in India where possible. Data may be processed in other locations by our service providers, subject to appropriate safeguards.

7. Your rights

8. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. If you are between 13 and 18, please use the Service with the consent of a parent or guardian. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.
9. Retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
